Hero of the Day Today, we honored Charlotte native, Lance Cpl. Nicholas O'Brien, at a wreath laying ceremony. He was KIA during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2011. You can attend our last wreath laying ceremony tomorrow from 9-10 a.m. at UNC Charlotte.

Today, we remember all the lives lost on 9/11. During Marine Week Charlotte, we commemorated 9/11 by climbing 110 stories with Charlotteans, the Charlotte Fire Dept., and service members.
