Unmet palliative care need leads to poorer physical and mental health, and financial outcomes when people should be focusing on the time they have left, not fighting against the system for support they need.

3/ We believe a right to palliative care would work towards eliminating this unmet need, by people of all ages living with terminal illness(es) residing in Scotland having equitable access to the palliative support which is right for them, when they need it.

4/ Alongside our #palliativecare sector colleagues in Scotland, we're working with cross-party MSPs across Scottish Parliament on a proposal for a Members Bill for a right to palliative care, led by Miles Briggs MSP👉bit.ly/3IuvN81

5/ By 2040, 10,000 more people will need palliative care each year, with two thirds of all deaths taking place in people's own homes, hospices and care homes.

In supporting a right to palliative care, Bob Doris highlights the importance of empowering our workforces
