Last week a group of staff and students from all three Marianist universities were on campus for the LEAD with Mary immersion trip. Part of their experience was a visit to the Marian Library. We were very happy to welcome them!

Happy Birthday, Mary! This holy card depicting the birth of Mary was created around 1920 at the Beuron Archabbey in Imdorf, Germany. Holy cards from this Benedictine monastery are popular with collectors. We are fortunate to have this one in our collection.

This digital print by Ryan McQuade is titled "Our Lady of Sorrows." Each sword shown piercing the heart of Mary represents one of the Seven Sorrows of Mary, the first of which is the Prophecy of Simeon. Simeon tells Mary that a sword will pierce her heart.
