Back to teaching today and got up at 5.18am instead of 6.18am. ⏰ I hadn't set an alarm all week and forgot to put my bedside alarm clock back an hour.. the penny dropped after my shower. At least I was early.

I can't see any party getting a majority or near it. That would mean brokering deals with a lot of independents, which would be very divisive in terms of getting things done for the whole country. It's not just about the independents' patch. The next govt will take weeks to form.

Lasagne made for the next two night's dinners and all made from scratch (even the white sauce...who knew that was so easy to make!?) Productive Sunday evening. #AheadOfMyself

When people say 'Vote for Change' I'm not sure how parties differ from each other. Ultimately all parties are pursuing the same goal (albeit in different financial ways). The capitalists will always vote FF or FG and they're the ones who turn out to vote. #GeneralElection24

Do you ever think that people who say they're going to vote for change, might change their minds in the voting booth, and revert to voting for people who have experience of being in govt. Deep down, people might be unsure if they can trust the change process, as it's untested.

This Irish #GE24 is a bit like people saying they're going to change from this platform to the spéir gorm and yet most of us are still here.

Seeing a lot of reference to the word 'gombeen' in #GeneralElection2024 tweets. We use this Irish word a lot. It came from the Irish word gaimbín which means money lender (male) and a fellow on the make.

Do ye think I could find the Christmas tree stand in the attic? Three attempts of lifting boxes and suitcases out of the way. I'm filthy and still have to put up the tree! 🌲 #JoysOfChristmas

Just looking at the number of female candidates elected amongst the 3 main parties. 7/48 elected for FF, 10/38 elected for FF and 15/39 elected for SF. Insight into the voting behaviour of these 3 parties. #GeneralElection2024

Vying for space on my lap every evening. I really have to get up and do things but I hate having to move them. Is that just me? #dogs

I saw a sign in a shop window in #Kilkenny today, advertising #dubaichocolate and I thought what is this all about? Shopkeeper informed me that it's the current trend and retailing at €15 a bar. It's pistachio chocolate imported from Dubai. Really? Is this even a thing?
