Saturday, 9th November at 3.00pm I will be playing an organ recital at @St Peter, Church Hale, Harrop Road, Hale, WA15 9BU. Free entry with refreshments following the recital. Programme includes works by J S Bach, Rinck, Dan Miller, Meirion Wynn Jones and Lefébure-Wély.

I am so pleased that Jennifer Johnston, celebrated mezzo soprano, has agreed to be the patron of Southport Bach Choir Choir, and look forward welcoming her to our concerts and possibly even rehearsals.

Our Christmas concert Southport Bach Choir includes the Missa Carolae by James Whitbourn, who passed away earlier this year. Programme includes works by Warlock, Judith Weir, John Tavener, not forgetting Sir John Rutter and some audience carols too. Save the date

It was a joy to accompany Lytham Choral and soloists Damian O'Keeffe at the weekend. Haydn’s Creation certainly has many notes.

First rehearsal of the new season with Southport Bach Choir Programme includes works by Byrd, Parry, Stanford, Charles Wood and Andrew Carter. An exciting lies ahead as our June concert (Mendelssohn's Elijah) begins a year long celebration as part of the choirs 60th Anniversary year.

The RCO Young Performers series returns in March feat students from RCO Accredited Uppingham School (11th), Merchant Taylors' (18th) and Rugby School (25th) at St Mary le Bow, London (1pm GMT). The Blue Coat School, Bolton School & Royal Northern College of Music will be at Leeds Cathedral on 17th.
