With the very frequent rain events in ON, Canada in 2024, postemergence herbicides in corn may be delayed. In high density weed environments where no soil-applied herbicide was applied, monetary loss can be rapid and increases on a daily basis (n=7).

We’re excited about this news. A reminder that Garlon XRT herbicide is an industrial product, designed for non-crop application only. Drone application is not currently approved for any crop protection products used in agriculture in Canada. Always read & follow label directions.

Soybean Aphid Update for East ON: Population has more than doubled in the last 4 days and continues to rise. Beneficials are not keeping up! Population levels vary significantly, with about 10% of the fields scouted having 400+ aphids per plant. Control: rb.gy/7m7wlo

Western Bean Cutworm - Week ending Aug 4th: Moth catches at the WR Station dropped significantly, indicating moth flight peak was on July 28-29. The peak egg hatch is expected around Aug 7th, with a target control window of 5-7 days after the majority of the eggs have hatched.
