Here's a story from canvassing today in Western North Carolina that is worth reading: I went to a house somewhat off the beaten path. A woman around 40-years-old answered the door. I introduced myself, told her I lived about 25 minutes away, and told her I was out volunteering

What I found on the ground today in Michigan: -Strong Democratic field operation -more than 3 million early votes cast -canvassers knocking doors of people who hadn’t yet voted found wary Americans who said they wouldn’t nytimes.com/live/2024/11/0…

On the trail this year, I met countless Americans working against long odds to make this country a better place. Those of us who want to live in a liberal, multiracial democracy will have to stay engaged and join them. That’s not only about unity. It’s about power.

May we have the courage, fortitude, patriotism -- and, for some of us, faith -- to resist the rising authoritarian tide. May we build a broad-spectrum coalition of conscience & decency (religious & secular) to protest Trump's violent behavior & beguiling propaganda. 19/

What should be clear from the past 10 years is that a majority of Americans no longer have faith in the institutions because they believe they don't represent them and their struggles. They believe it is run by the elite and powerful for the elite and powerful. Trump cynically
