Jim Peters (ex Scots Guards) in 2022 looking for remains of the curry he scoffed in lee of that rock during a lull in fighting during Battle of Tumbledown 1982. This was when we realised he’d become an archaeologist. Today he’s joining me on my tour of Culloden. Scottish Centre - War Studies/Conflict Archaeology

In November last year, the ‘1982 Uncovered’ exhibition opened at St Peter's College College Chapel. It proved a powerful way to remember. Please watch this short film to learn more: youtube.com/watch?v=rD_4V2… #remembrance Falklands War Mapping Project

I know veterans can be incredible battlefield guides thanks to Falklands War Mapping Project. Back in the 1830s Edward Cotton, a 7th Hussars veteran of Waterloo, was a well know guide to the battlefield. Looking forward to piloting Waterloo Uncovered academy for veteran battlefield guides in September.

Great to be there to see Dr William Spencer graduate with his PhD. It’s been an honour to join him on his journey as a Falklands veteran doing great work researching the use of archives by veterans. Scottish Centre - War Studies/Conflict Archaeology Andrew Hoskins

Thanks for reminding me of this Dr Peter Caddick-Adams #StandwithUkraine. A moment I will always cherish. It was such a privilege to be there with Scots Guards veterans of 1982, Jim and John.
