Thank to everyone that came along to support the Fairtrade and Plant sale. We managed to sell a lot of fairtrade goods and plants grown by gardening club. Money raised to help gardening club, eco club and the Fairtrade Foundation
Had another successful food forum this week run by Nottinghamshire County Council The food ambassadors got to taste some the recipes that they had brought in. They were very popular and might even be appearing on the school menu in the future.
We had a wonderful #WorldOceanDay last week in school. Lots of children dressed in blue clothes, plant-based food at dinner, no single-use plastic in lunch boxes and some tasty samples from Nottinghamshire County Council Thank you for all the fishy entries. We'll keep you posted on the winners.
As part of #InternationalDemocracyDay some of our eco team visited Gedling Borough Council council chambers. They put forward a proposal to plant more trees to help the council become carbon net zero by 2030 and were pleased to say the vote was unanimously in favour! #youthaction
The first food forum of the year was today and our ambassadors got to try lots of delicious fruit and vegetables. Thanks to Nottinghamshire County Council for supporting this in our school.
School gardening club was back on today. The theme was recycling. We made labels for some of the seeds that we're going to be planting and used scrap paper to make paper pots to plant them in. Very excited to be embarking on the The Children's Gardening Coach School Gardening Success prog!
