A nice selection of species this morning in #Laxey . Many birds on the move to their breeding sites and I was surrounded by a cacophony of birdsong all morning. Two highlights were #Osprey and #WhooperSwan flying over. BTO

An excellent start to the Calf of Man Bird Observatory 2024 season , with 80 spp. seen in March. Three more than the previous best set in 2016. We had been stuck on 76, but Collared Dove, House Martin, Woodcock, and GSWoodpecker today gave us the record. The GSW also being the 1st ever March record
