Let’s talk about why emergency departments are full. We’re going to use Mary as an example. Mary is a completely fictional patient. Let’s say Mary is 72. Her family doctor retired 5 years ago. She’s in the ED after a fall “weak and dizzy” (we see this a lot.)

Do not normalize children dying from measles. Measles was previously eliminated in the US, thanks to vaccines. When children die from measles, it means that adults have catastrophically failed to protect them because they have rejected basic science.

There’s a measles outbreak. Kids are getting sick—and it’s completely preventable. But the UCP is silencing health experts and letting ideology guide public health. They won’t say it, so we will: Get your kids vaccinated. It could save their lives.

It's good once in a while to discuss the difference between correlation and causation. 85% of people who get into car crashes may have had cereal for breakfast. This doesn't mean, however, that car crashes are caused by cereal. I mention this today for…no reason whatsoever.

Happy International Women’s Day! Just 100 years ago, women couldn’t access contraception, couldn’t open a bank account without a husband, and were largely excluded from the medical research that determined how drugs and treatments work. Today we still have to fight to be
