In South Sudan🇸🇸 discussing implementation of 2018 agreement. Spoke to 1st VP Dr Riek Machar Teny & VP Office of the Vice President: Gender & Youth S.S. about key obstacle, effects of the conflict, deployment of unified security forces, constitution-making and welcoming the establishment of the transitional assembly.

H.E. the Vice President had a promising first meeting with the U.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Amb Jeffery Feldman. The discussion centered around the progress of the Agreement, the need for youth/ women engagement & the importance of peace & stability in the region.

Last week the VP had positive engagements with the Executive Director of the IMF Africa Group 1 - AfG1 (Ms. Ita Mary Mannathoko) where she expressed her gratitude for the Economic interventions made by the institution in South Sudan.

In a meeting with the Regional Vice President for Africa of the World Bank Group (Hafez Ghanem), the VP spoke about the improving economic reforms, the need to clear arrears and the importance of financial assistance and literacy programs for youth and women in South Sudan.

Honored to meet with South Sudan 🇸🇸 VP Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior during #UNGA. We discussed the importance of progress on the Peace Agreement, and I stressed the need for political inclusivity and protection of humanitarian workers.

Ahead of H.E.'s speech at the UN General Assembly #UNGA76 in New York, the Vice President has been holding a number of sideline meetings with heads of state and delegation, creating and strengthening bilateral ties.

The Vice President met with Tz Pres. Samia Suluhu Hassan. The two leaders were happy to create a sisterly connection at a global stage and expressed readiness to speak with one voice before the international community.

The Vice President will be delivering her remarks at the 76th Session of the UN General Assemble #UNGA, today at Approx. 12.00pm (ET) 6:00pm (Juba).
