Not only have our Y7 artists been working on their bird designs in school, their homework project has been to create an artist booklet. Frida Kahlo, the Mexican artist known for her brilliantly coloured self-portraits, has been a popular choice. Well done Y7 - great work!

Our PDA World Explorers Club has created a display on the theme of 'Christmas Around the World'. They've spent time researching different and unusual traditions from around the world, and encapsulated the best in their display. It's already attracted lots of positive responses.

We still have 2 unclaimed raffle prizes from Monday's concert - both hampers put together by the PTA! The winning tickets are white 677 and white 833. Do please check your tickets and if you have the winning ones, please ring us on 01653 692828 to arrange collection. Thank you.

The Y7 girls took part in the Scarborough & District Football Tournament earlier this week. They played really well - winning one match and drawing the other two, securing them 3rd place. It was a really encouraging start to their tournament playing. Well done!

Our thanks to St Michael's Church in Malton and Rev Canon Simon Wright for hosting and leading our Y7 carol service last week. Thanks also to our older students who took part in the service - singing in the choir, playing in the band or doing the dramatised readings.

Really well played to the Y7 7-a-side football teams. They took part in a district tournament recently, with the A Team finishing 2nd to a very strong Whitby side, and the B Team, who beat Norton and held on for a draw against Lady Lumley's, coming 4th. Great end to term.

As we end the Autumn Term, the house competition has hotted up. Last half term's winners Willoughby have dropped back to 3rd place and Fitzwilliam have pulled ahead, but only by 13 points! (Picture shows total housepoints by house and year group with Y7 being blue and Y13 green).
