It was so fabulous to be back together - after the hugely successful Il Trittico last season - with the orchestra of Gran Teatre del Liceu and play these gorgeous big repertoire pieces in Girona! The Sibelius soloist was the orchestra's own fantastic concertmaster Kai Gleusteen. ✨

Look at this splendour... the home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. What a GREAT orchestra, it's a privilege to be here again. I'm enormously looking forward to this series of four concerts starting tonight.
