For their independent projects, David Rozenbergas and Adam Winkowski's learned about construction/electronics to build and wire a modern log cabin. Nicole Krystowczyk created a wind tunnel for her project on aerodynamics and Jason Dang and Jackson Slamowitz built an ATV. #207now

National Art Honor Society students painted portraits of orphaned children in Malaysia, as part of a The Memory Project. The Memory Project is a youth arts organization that promotes intercultural understanding and kindness between children around the world.

Tulsi Arya talks about the Math 2 in Construction class project where students build a home for Habitat for Humanity. This is the 20th home built and donated by @maine_east. Special thanks to Coyote Construction which donated a truck and workers to deliver the home. #207lead

Students researched fallen soldiers from the Vietnam War who attended and/or graduated from Maine Township High School (now Maine East) as part of a class project. Local Vietnam War veterans were invited to watch the student presentations. Learn more at: bit.ly/452b8CF

Before the end of school, Maine East hosted a "Next Steps/Decision Day" celebration and asked to students to design a pennant showing what they'll be doing next year - college, trade school, job, apprenticeship or military. Congrats to all the graduates!

All Freshmen and Transfer Students: Chromebook and Instructional Material pickup is August 6th. You can also complete your registration/residency verification and pay fees, submit your physical and purchase a Ventra card. Yearbook and ID pictures will also be taken!
