Whew, what a week! And what a great group of bioengineering Ph.D. students! That's a wrap for #ImpactWeek at the #KnightCampus. The bootcamp may be over, but the personal and professional growth will continue! fal.cn/3s7UM

Check out this interesting paper on Oxygel, a hyaluronic acid/perfluorocarbon biomaterial with a high oxygen carrying capacity and slow oxygen release. This technology could be used in cellular therapies (i.e. pancreatic islet transplantations) to enhance cell survival. #BioE610

This research study is quite extensive and interesting! I'm excited to see where this research goes! This research group virtually screened, synthesized, tested, and found molecules that show antidepressant activity with no psychedelic effects! #BioE610 nature.com/articles/s4158…

Interesting paper on the identification of collagen-binding peptides that specifically target osteoarthritic cartilage (w/o targeting other articular soft tissues) and can be used for diagnosis, lubrication, and regeneration. #BioE610

Interesting read about using 3D-engineered scaffolds as a cell culture model versus the conventional 2D model (i.e. petri dish). #BioE610

One of the things I hate most about science is how much waste it creates 🌎😢. Did you know it is possible to recycle gloves? Reach out if you want to learn how to do the same for your labspace!

My heart goes out to my Alma Mater MSU It’s so painful to see this happen at a place so near and dear to my heart and to see it happen over and over and over again. #SpartansWill 💚🤍 The US needs stricter gun control now. We cannot accept this as our norm.

As police approached the shooting suspect, he took his own life, but not before he took the lives of three others and injured five. Law enforcement says there is no longer a threat to the Michigan State University campus and the shelter-in-place has been lifted.

Five years ago to the day, 17 people were killed in Parkland in a horrific shooting that never should have happened. Now, another shooting at MSU that never should have happened. Grieve for the dead. Fight like hell for the living.
