Great talk by Arsh ⁦@ak__grewal⁩ on day 1 of #AGU23. Big crowd to listen about the influence of permafrost and frozen ground on flow-solute relations.

Looking to do a M.Sc? Come join me and work in the worlds largest mud-flats! A hugely overlooked ecosystem that is full of complex, poorly understood, carbon sinking potential! [1/2]

Wayne Rouse was a driving force on my committee during my MSc and PhD. He cared deeply about Canada’s north, climate change, and everyone he met. Much of his work was ‘pre internet’ and now overlooked. Looking back, Wayne was far ahead of the curve in every way. Remember him.

Heading to Yukon again tomorrow for another round of fieldwork and community engagement. Photo was just sent by a member of the group who was doing some 24 hour measurements of shrub stomatal conductance. Looks like night is coming.... then winter....
