📣Huge congratulations to Monaghan’s Conor McManus who was recently named at #15 on the GAA Football Team of the last 25 years!👏👏 From 2008 to 2024 Conor has scored an outstanding 9-291 in championship football, putting him fourth in the list of all-time championship scorers!

Are the English unique in their stubborn ability to reject their folk music? As #thedaddy reaches life’s conclusion still gigging for relative pennies compared to his peers it remains something we face every day. To say the fight hasn’t left him however is an understatement. ✊🏻

I’ve recycled this Conor McManus stat a few times but no harm in one final update upon his retirement. Of his 9-291 in championship football, 1-49 (16%) came after 60th minute, 1-14 of it from play. Clutch. Monaghan were blessed to have him.

The version of It Makes No Difference The Band played at The Last Waltz has become a classic. Rick sang his heart out and Garth appeared beside him at the end of the song to play his sax solo. It’s one of those glorious moments of the concert, one that we wish could last forever.

Armagh v Tyrone, Derry v Kerry, Mayo v Galway, Donegal v Dublin, Down v Cork, Louth v Roscommon. A mountain of attractive football games this weekend. Hardly a word about them. All I've seen for two days is Cork-Limerick. Football has to learn how to hype itself big time.
