Happy 1st day of September Folks ❤ One of the Anishinaabe names for this month is Waabaabagaa Giizis, The Leaves Turning Colour Moon. A lovely & descriptive way of capturing what happens to the leaves as the month goes on. Enjoy the month ahead!

The colours that come with this season of Fall are such a GIFT. I hope all of you can make time to get out & enjoy these beautiful colourful leaves that surround us at the moment before they fall to Mother Earth. Feeling grateful for this beauty of a day.

This is such an important message, I ask you to stop for a moment to really take this in...we all have the ability to make a difference, to help someone feel seen, to feel included, to know that they matter. #KindnessMatters #BeKindAlways ❤

Baashkaakodin Giizis is the Anishinaabe word for the Freezing Moon of Nov. As we move further into this month we'll feel those colder temps, more frost & preps of nature getting Mother Earth ready for a winters rest. Wishing you all a good month ahead ❤

Did you know next week (November 7-12, 2022) is Treaties Recognition Week in Ontario? It was legislated in 2016, and is celebrated during the first full week of November every year. #TreatiesRecognitionWeek #TreatyON

Miigwech DaleRoadSeniorPS KPRDSB for this great quote on your outdoor sign. A powerful message & SO NICE to see an Indigenous person quoted in this way. I literally turned around as I was driving by to pull over to photograph this. #ReconciliACTIONatKPR

“The report found the children were being fed the unpasteurized milk at three meals each day and later many developed tuberculosis and other diseases. School staff and administrators had their own pasteurized dairy products, and they were healthy.” toronto.citynews.ca/2023/01/25/pro…

Let’s be clear that while the non-Indigenous staff and clergy drank pasteurized milk, they fed the children unpasteurized milk knowing that it was not only making them sick, but killing them. #TruthBeforeReconciliation #Genocide #EveryChildMatters

A big shout out to all the kids who didn’t win an award, make honor roll, and barely made it through the school year. A big hug to the moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, and foster parents that stuck by them as they maneuvered the school year. For all those - Just GOING to
