On 18 December 2023, Amb. Azhar paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Aneeq Ahmed, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony of Pakistan at his office, Pakistan Secretariat, Islamabad. Amb. Azhar was accompanied by Mr. Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission.

On 19 December 2023, Amb. Azhar received a courtesy call by Sheikh Noman Naeem, President, Jamia Binoria Aalamia (JBA), Karachi at the High Commission. The purpose of the meeting was to extend an invitation to Ambassador Azhar to the convocation at JBA, Karachi on 27 Jan 2024.

On 8 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended the International Human Rights Day under the theme of "Dignity, Freedom & Justice for all" at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. The event was organised by the Ministry of Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On 11 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended the Members Convocation at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. The event was organised by the Institute of Cost Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP). President Dr. Arif Alvi attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.

On 22 December 2023, the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) organized an event under the theme of “Family BBQ, Year-End Get-Together” at Ghandara Club, Islamabad.

On 26 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar paid a visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (ICSTSI), Islamabad. He was accompanied by Mr. Mohd Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission.

On 12 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended the signing ceremony of Instrument of Accession to "Marrakesh Treaty for visually Impaired Persons" at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. The event was organised by the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (IPO).

On 27 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended the National Scholars Conference, 2023 at Prime Minister Secretariat, Islamabad.

On Wednesday, 27 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar received a courtesy call by Ms. Tahseen Sayed Khan, Honorary Consul of Albania in Islamabad at the High Commission. Both sides discussed issues of mutual importance between Malaysia and Pakistan as well as Albania.

On 20 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar as the Chair of ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) presided over the second ACI Heads of Mission meeting at the High Commission of Malaysia, Islamabad.

On 3 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar received a courtesy call by Ms. Nusrah Rabiha Yunus, Senior Programme Officer of MERCY Malaysia at the Malaysian High Commission.

On 4 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar and Madam Amelia attended a farewell and welcoming dinner at the Islamabad Club. The event was hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Mian Fazal Elahi, CEO of Diplomatic Focus.

On 9 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar attended a lunch hosted by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar at the Prime Minister House, Islamabad.

On 9 January 2024, Mr. Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission represented the High Commission at the launching of the Pakistan Startsup Fund in Islamabad. The event was organised by the Ministry of IT and Telecom.

On 10 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar attended the Global Health Security Summit at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The event was attended by the diplomatic corps, senior officials from the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from various organizations.

On 10 January 2024, Mr Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission paid a courtesy call on Ms Amina Khan, Director of the Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa (CAMEA) at her office.

On 11 January 2024, Mr Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission attended the launching of the Annual Security Assessment Report 2023 in Islamabad. The event was organised by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies.

On 11 January 2024, Mr. Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission, on behalf of the High Commission received a courtesy call from Ms. Afshan Khalid, Director and CEO of Steps College. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the education system in Malaysia and Pakistan.
