Middle School Tigers reported to training camp today. Veterans and rookies agreed that it was a great day to work hard in preparation for the season. Players said they, “will take it one game at a time” and that they “are ready to leave it all on the field”

Today, the Building Leadership Team met for a series of discussions about the planning for our school year. I am so excited for the direction and vision this team will provide for ESMS. Go Tigers!!!!

Student council met today to start this school year off by contributing their leadership to our school. It’s going to be a great year with their ideas and direction.

Yesterday, we had our first all school assembly of the year. The student council planned it and led it. The band and choir performed so well. We are looking forward to great things this year from all students. Go Tigers!! @ESSD40

Last night we had our first middle school dance of the year. For many of these students, this was their first dance ever!!! Thank you to the PTO and our DJ Mr. Wilkins for he concessions and music. Thank you to all parents for making it a special evening.

We are honoring all of our veterans today. Thank you to all our parents, grandparents and family members for your service. We honor Officer Nash, Mr. Pletcher, Mrs Heath and Mr. Egbert for commitment to preserving liberty and freedom.

Let’s takes some time today to think about how we can further racial equality. Our goals should be loving and supporting one another rather than focusing on what some see as differences.

Congratulations to our Middle School 4x200 team. Pictured left to right Hunter Dallas, Drake Simonitis, Marques Shouse, and Owen O’Dell. They ran a 1:41.10 school record relay breaking the old record, by .5, set in 1978.

Slight change to our Summer plans... Our Tiger Basketball Kids Camp will be July 25th, 26th, & 27th instead of May 23rd-25th. Details on camp registration will be released soon, so check back on all of our social media webpages. Excited to see all Tigers grades K-8 on July 25th!!

Brett Morris is our teacher of the year for the middle school and the entire district. We are so proud of Mr. Morris and the accomplishments he has had with our band program.
