5 September 1981 Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp was established at RAF Greenham Common in Berkshire. The anti-nuclear weapons protest was the biggest women-led movement in the UK since the Suffragettes. It lasted for 19 years until the airbase was decommissioned. #Greenham
