Do you own a work van parked in or around Uxbridge Ward? We have information about thieves operating in this area, so please take precautions, and do not leave anything valuable in your van overnight.

A reoccurring issue on the ward is theft from motor vehicles via an unlocked car door. According to Neighbourhood Watch, this makes up 44% of car break-ins nationally. It's a simple mistake any of us can make, so be sure to double check when you park up!

Across Uxbridge we are experiencing an increase in reports for people having their number plates stolen. At this time we are asking as many people as possible to install anti theft screws. All met-approved suppliers can be found on SecuredByDesign.com

The waterways of Uxbridge ward are home to lots of wild birds and other animals. Unfortunately we have seen these animals targeted by youths with catapults recently, and we encourage anyone who witnesses this to report it via 999 right away. Help us keep our wildlife safe!

A team of non-police instructors at UMAA will be hosting a free self defence workshop on 28th June for #Uxbridge residents! Local officers will be also be there to offer advice and support. Full details below:

Our officers have been in and out of the local bushes this morning, conducting weapon sweeps in the parks and green spaces of Uxbridge! We regularly patrol these spaces to ensure they are free of weapons or any other unsafe implements.

#SNT stopped 2 young males in packet boat lane caught with carrying a slingshot. Positive #stop and search, slingshot seized! males are being dealt with accordingly.

In addition to our regular targeted patrols, our officers have been meeting with the residents of Uxbridge and surrounding wards to create a multi-agency approach to keep our local wildlife safe! We are lucky to have the dedicated support of our residents.

Across England there has been a rise in the deliberate injury or killing of wildlife by young people, often with the use of a catapult. We are encouraging parents to speak with their children and prevent them from carrying catapults. Please help us keep Uxbridge safe.

Officers attended another community meeting focused on the safety of our local wildfowl yesterday. Since our last meeting, several perpetrators have been identified and dealt with by police. We are glad to see the proactive attitude of our residents!
