When we share stories about human trafficking in Ontario, people are often shocked to hear about it happening so close to their homes. This is due to a lack of awareness, so we encourage you to educate yourself and those around you about human trafficking in our communities.”

Perspective is a powerful element that affects nearly everything we believe and process as human beings. When it comes to the world of human trafficking, it is so pertinent that we listen to stories in an empathetic manner and consider the story from the survivors' perspective.

There are layers to listening, and to achieve the most optimal level of listening there are several factors at play. When it comes to sensitive topics such as human trafficking we always want to be actively listening. Here are some key tips to keep in mind!

Here are some great tips to consider when conversing with human trafficking survivors and listening to thier stories. It is so important to be empathetic, respectful, and unbiased to fully understand their plight and perspectives. Feel free to share the post! #mpaht
