Gender based violence remains a global public health problem. It is a systemic crisis, affecting 1 in 3 women and worldwide. There is a need to UNITE to reduce the risks which increase during humanitarian emergencies, when women face greater infrngement on their human rights.

In 2022, there were 231 oil spills reported to the Delta State Ministry of Environment; in 2023, there were 139 oil spills reported; and in 2024, 154 oil spills were reported.
