WATCH: In yesterday's hearing, Chair Robbins questioned the Secretary of State about how many fraudulent voter registrations - stemming from a recent case where two offenders pled guilty to submitting over 500 fraudulent registrations in Minnesota - remain on the voter roll.

WATCH: Chair Robbins asks Secretary of State Steve Simon if he would support a bill requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote. He doesn't. Currently, voters in Minnesota simply attest to their eligibility to vote and don't have to prove citizenship. Chair Robbins:

NEW: This summer, a whistleblower worked with Republicans on the Minnesota House Fraud and Oversight Committee after DHS ignored multiple allegations of fraud against his ICS provider. Specifically, he provided documentation that he was out of state while the provider billed taxpayers for in-person services.

Glad to see DHS is disenrolling 800 inactive providers - but we need to understand why so many were allowed to enroll to begin with. We must have provider eligibility standards AND VERIFICATION.
