.Pierre Poilievre’s antics in the House of Commons were not a display of petulance or immaturity. This was a choreographed act of further undermining our democratic institutions and parliament.

He wants to convince you that Canada is broken by deliberately breaking it.

Alberta, Danielle Smith & the UCP continue to show us that this is all just a game to them.

People they don’t like won in municipal elections. So they will punish the people of those cities…to get back at them? To own the libs? To bully citizens & elected officials?

Who…

You have been warned numerous times. Take it seriously and warn your friends, acquaintances and coworkers. An alarming number of people don't understand the threat.

Pierre Poilievre said something recently that is almost identical to what Emperor Palpatine said and did in the prequels. Basically, he doesn't like the Supreme Courts rulings, so he's going to override them with the Notwithstanding Clause.

I mean, I don't want to say I told you so here, but I *kind* of did.

Poilievre's commitment to freedom is entirely circumstantial. His promise to proactively use the Notwithstanding Clause is just more evidence of that.

Back at the time of the PM's promise to end FPTP, the federal government undertook a survey to see how Canadians might feel. Instead of asking respondents about 'alphabet' systems, which most Canadians haven't waded into (PR, STV, etc.).../2

UCP plan seems obvious at this point. Defund cities to increase misery, blame it on the councils, restrict their ability to take recourse, tell voters that parties will fix everything, and if that fails, give yourself the power to remove councillors and revoke bylaws.

The single most impactful thing we did in 11 years was this pass. I have cried hearing the stories of how it changed the lives of poorer people in our community. And it was cost effective! (for Calgary, 1/20 the price of the Turkish Tylenol, half of the cost of the pension plan…

Today, I tabled Bill C-387 to protect the Canada Pension Plan from Conservatives like Danielle Smith and Pierre Poilievre.
The CPP is a critical part of Canadians’ retirement security. We must protect it!

The Budget Implementation Act will build a Canada that works for every generation by building more homes, faster, making life cost less, and investing in our economy to create jobs and growth.

We’re doing this by asking the wealthiest to pay a little moreβ€”that’s what’s fair.

Another protest against me and the UCP?

But why? Albertans love our separatist ideals, lack of funding for education, new healthcare system that paves the way for privatization, and desire to steal your pension!

And they were right to do so...

Using the time, resources & productivity of the House and Committees expressly to bully and demean a private citizen for partisan self-interest is perhaps the greatest warning flag Canada has about your future plans to subvert democracy.

Smith wants to control everything. Pensions, police, health care, schools, local councils. Any dollar spent anywhere in the province, and any decision made by anyone.

Bill 20 is no exception as she tries to claw back the powers of municipalities that dont agree with her.

The federal government is literally offering billions of dollars to build housing that will....improve housing affordability.

And you oppose it. Why, exactly?
