When I think of who I want to be as a person, I think of how empowered and supportive Rasheed made me feel. This is not the most eloquent writing I’ve done, I just hate this so much. You’re my boss, my mentor, and my friend Rasheed A. Malik 👶🏿👶🏾👶🏽👶🏼👶🏻 and you’re gone way too soon.
The outpouring of love & remembrance today is a testament to Rasheed A. Malik 👶🏿👶🏾👶🏽👶🏼👶🏻 as a researcher & staunch advocate for a brighter future where children & the people who care for them can thrive. He has left an indelible mark. Rasheed is a turning point person in the course of my life.
For those of you wanting to honor and celebrate Rasheed, please find the funeral information below. There will be a livestream option for folks who are not local to nova/DC. American Progress CAP Early Childhood friends, alumni, collaborators, etc I hope you’ll join us
