I hope when they demolish Soldier Field they keep and repurpose the columns (pic 1) into whatever goes there next.

Imagine if they would have kept the shell of Ebbets Field (pic 2) and converted the interior into mixed use space.

This is what happens when owners basically want what someone else has (aka Allegiant Stadium) and hire the same architect. Happened in MLB after Camden Yards too.

This a wild misnomer to fans who never had the privilege to attend a game at Tiger Stadium or Comiskey Park. Camden Yards deserves a lot of credit for bringing back the baseball only feel and charm plagued by mid-century multi-purpose “cookie-cutter” stadiums, however, the real
