0n Memorial Day, 1921, an in-play plaque, seen here (far left) roughly 480 feet from home plate, was erected at Polo Grounds honoring Eddie Grant. The first MLB player to lose his life in-action during World War I. There's currently a replica at both AT&T Park and Citi Field.
