MLBPA Launches New Mental Health & Wellness Program

In celebration of #AAPIHeritageMonth , we recognize Players around the league whose families come from around the globe. Their impact on our game extends well beyond the base paths!

Taijuan Walker walked away from his high school basketball stardom when he was drafted by the Mariners in 2010. A consistent MLB pitcher for five teams, he was named an All-Star in 2021 and represented Mexico in the 2023 WBC. This April, he surpassed 10 Years of Major League

Connecticut native George Springer was drafted 11th overall by the Astros in 2011. He made his MLB debut in 2014 and hit five home runs in seven games to win World Series MVP in 2017. As an Astro and Blue Jay, he has made four All-Star teams and won two Silver Sluggers.

Jurickson Profar is the 13th Curaçao-born MLB player ever and the third to reach 10 years of service time. Signed by the Rangers in 2009, he hit a home run in his first MLB at-bat in 2012. He has played every non-battery position in over 950 games.
