Together with Ministers Maida Gorčević & Orhan Murtezani, I addressed the press during our #EUEnlargement Forum. With new EU funding secured until 2027, our ECM initiative is entering a new phase, expanding inclusion & strengthening civil society engagement from candidate countries.

🇲🇰🔥North Macedonia is grappling with complex wildfires affecting the entire country. In response, 🇦🇹 🇫🇷 🇸🇮 have offered to deploy firefighters via the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism to help battle the flames. We have also mobilised a helicopter from the #rescEU fleet in 🇨🇿.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the Governments of Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and Slovenia 🇸🇮 for their swift and valuable support in responding to the wildfires. Your solidarity reaffirms the strength of our partnership and the importance of European cooperation in times of crisis.
