Greatful to be gathered with community today to celebrate the life of Murray Sinclair in Winnipeg. As Wab Kinew said, we may have lost our teacher but not his teachings, and we now have the responsibility to uphold them and continue to push for peace, justice, reconciliation.

One year ago today I was in St. Paul, Minnesota along with 7 family members for the concert of a lfetime. Been listening to them for over 50 years.

I was gifted a deadly set of kitchen tools, a real mini mastercraft tool box filled with sewing tools, and a beaded smudge pan. Couldn’t be more grateful. I always say no gifts please but my kids and grandkids don’t listen.

Best present anyone can have is having your younger brother home on christmas day from hospital even if it was just for the day. This is not even half my family.
