Congratulations to all our Marching Bands for receiving Division 1 ratings at UIL contest last night. All bands advance to Area Competition. We are so proud of these directors and students.

Leaders from our MISD Fine Arts Academies presented at the Arts Schools Network conference in Washington DC last week about our innovative arts-integration systems that drive our academic success. The Arts Schools Network encompasses schools from across the nation.

Our fall art show is on display at the Vaszauskas Center for Performing Arts now until November 15. Gallery is open from 8:30-4:00 weekdays.

6A bands (Mansfield, Legacy, & Lake Ridge) competed at UIL Area Marching Contest today. They all performed so well. We are extremely proud of these students and directors.

Mansfield Art teachers received the Texas Art Educators Association District of Distinction Award for the third consecutive year at the annual conference in Galveston this past week. Thanks to all our art educators that helped make this happen.

Coming this Saturday- MISD’s Hometown Holidays Dance Spectacular. It’s the best holiday show around showing off MISD best dancers. It’s a holiday tradition!!

We had such a great Middle School UIL One Act Play contest. Congrats to all seven of our middle schools on a great day of theatre.
