Senior Leo Loos had 13 points and senior Ella Maynard finished with 12 as the MHS girls basketball team beat Davenport West 55-34 in a Class 5A regional opener Wednesday in Davenport. MHS (4-18) plays 7th-ranked Iowa City West in Iowa City on Saturday in a regional semifinal.
