DHCD had special visitors during its Housing Indicators & Visualization Engine meeting: The Governor's Office of Performance Improvement. GOPI works to improve the performance of state agencies. Tuesday, they saw how DHCD track progress across its programs and divisions.

Deputy Secretary Julia Glanz was at the groundbreaking for the Villas at Lexwoods in Lexington Park project in St. Mary’s Co. on Friday. Villas at Lexwoods features the new construction of 40 affordable rental townhomes and was supported, in part, through several DHCD programs.

DHCD staff attended the grand opening for the Caplan Building in Ellicott City this past Saturday! 🛍️🏬 The restored Caplan Building serves as an incubator space for small businesses that do not have a brick and mortar facility and was made possible with a $300,000 DHCD grant.

Assistant Secretary Scott Gottbretht joined WMATA, MDOT Prince George’s Co. & others Tuesday celebrating the progress of Metro’s transit-oriented development & the groundbreaking of the 1st of 4 new senior living buildings in the county. The project received DHCD program funding.

Maryland Community Connection collected items DHCD employees donated for its 22nd Annual Food & Toy Drive on Monday. The Maryland Community Connection provides social, economic, and independent living services to adults with developmental disabilities across the state.
