Anyone looking for a tightly-argued, accessible, humane, and, indeed, witty overview of the issues in the debates over trans rights and women’s rights could do a lot worse than pick up ‘Material Girls’ by Kathleen Stock hachette.co.uk/titles/kathlee…
An exceptionally well-written analysis of how an idea gradually took precedence over the material and of the consequences for those who have no choice but to continue to deal with the realities of their sex. Congratulations Helen Joyce images.app.goo.gl/swgkLzgS8zDiec…
Good analysis from Helen Thomas of the potential post-Brexit for tension between a Treasury keen for investment & growth and a regulator whose objectives are more narrowly drawn and place a premium on stability and caution. Still not clear how, in this new world, this gets resolved
Worth a read. Whatever your analysis of her views on sex and gender the recent treatment of Kathleen Stock has been shocking to anyone who prizes academic freedom and the right of women to free expression.
