This morning, Marion Co. Sheriff-FL's own Emergency Management Director Preston Bowlin testified before the House Homeland GOP Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery to discuss the challenges for emergency management in rural communities. Glad to have him up from #FL03!

Florida Forest Service will not issue any outdoor burn authorizations in Alachua, Gilchrist, Levy, Marion and Putnam counties tomorrow, Friday, March 3, due to weather predictions calling for unfavorable outdoor burning conditions due to high gusting winds up to 35-45.mph.
