EACH SECOND, Sun releases 1.5 million tons of solar material, into the Space. Earth's magnetic field deflects most of it, but not all. The solar wind travels at the speed of 1 million mph and particles that bypass Earth's magnetic cause auroras and geomagnetic storms.
