I joined my fellow Cabinet Secretaries at the Massachusetts Association of Regional Planning Agencies (MARPA) conference to discuss how our partnerships support shared goals. Their contributions help HLC's efforts to bring down the cost of housing and prevent homelessness in MA.

I joined AIM for a regional roundtable to speak about the housing shortage we face and the policy levers this Administration is using to alleviate the crisis - from ADUs and broker fee reforms, to surplus land, less restrictive zoning and increased investment.

Hanson joins the growing list of cities and towns adopting multifamily zoning under the MBTA Communities Law. We’re now at 144 MBTA communities — 90% — moving forward. The MBTA Communities Law is working.

Thank you, CHAPA for hosting the Federal Forum. Despite federal uncertainty, Massachusetts is all-in on housing  — Affordable Homes Act, ADUs by right, MBTA Communities, and a five-year plan to deliver results. #HousingMA #AffordableHousing

The Curtis Apartments development bridges the gap for more than just housing. It’s this kind of wraparound support that gives people living here a higher quality of life, the kind of investment we want more of in Massachusetts!

I was glad to be in Worcester this morning with Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, Joe Petty and CM-Batista to break ground on Lakeside Apartments. Worcester is doing public housing right — reimagining it as vibrant, modern communities where people are proud to live.

Back in Springfield yesterday afternoon speaking with developers with Western Mass Economic Development Council. Proud of the momentum here: $342M invested in Western Mass. and the Berkshires with commercial conversions, homeownership programs and more housing the region needs.
