When the DA’s heard about the #massbailout they had an emergency meeting about setting bail even higher / remanding folks so they cannot be bailed out at all. This clearly shows how invested the DAs, racist courts and city govt are in the caging & slavery of Black & Brown people.

Rikers Island is named after Richard Riker, a former judge in NY, who was a member of the "Kidnapper's Club". He would work with people who would kidnap free Black men women & children, send them to his court & sentence them back into slavery #CloseRikers #NoNewJails #MassBailout
