🧵Montreal police want to charge a journalist with criminal mischief for covering a pro-Palestinian sit at a downtown bank. The odds of them convicting a journalist for doing journalism are slim. So why bother charging her?

I want to be very clear. Facts do matter.

It is blatantly false that Unifor was in any way, shape or form in favour or agreement with Bell’s deplorable decision to fire 1000s of workers.

For Bell’s CEO to say such is outrageous, deceptive and delusional.

Like come on!

MediaPolicy.ca Breathtaking hypocrisy.

On the one hand they lobbied for legislation to enforce cancon rules on their competition.

On the other hand they don’t believe in the cause themselves and want to be exempt from those regulations.

The Nunatsiaq News newsroom in Iqaluit is gone.

Nobody got hurt, but this is still devastating, especially for the tenants in the apartments that are attached to the building 😢
