February’s #PrairieSeedOfTheMonth is Agastache foeniculum aka Anise hyssop! This drought-resistant bloom attracts a variety of pollinators, from #bumblebees to #monarchs. When crushed, the leaves smell of mint & licorice. Blue & violet hues make it a homegardener‘s favorite 🌱💜

May’s #PrairieSeedOfTheMonth is #Dalea #purpurea aka Purple Prairie Clover! This plant is popular with #nativebees, making it an ideal subject of #pollen studies in the #CariveauLab. Found in prairies from Canada to Texas, you can spot this #perennial throughout North America. 🐝
