The "divided west" (expression of Habermas). In the old "west" Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Spain all did the right thing & voted yes. Canada, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands abstained, refusing to follow the US, Israel in voting no. Japan, yes!

The Liberal government abstained on this important vote today at #UNGA. Why won't the Liberals uphold international law & call for an end to the occupation? A shameful act that clearly shows the Liberals continue to pick and choose when they will support international law.

"Rogers executive chair... has long sought to control all of Toronto’s major sports franchise... #Bell is selling its #MLSE stake while keeping the rights to broadcast games from the company’s teams for the next 20 years on its media outlets, incl [on] TSN."🤔#competition

"Pending approval from each league, Rogers says #Bell will have access to content rights for '50% of Toronto Maple Leafs regional games and 50% of Toronto Toronto Raptors games for which #MLSE controls the rights."🤔#competition

I am disappointed Canada did not stand with 124 other countries, including allies like New Zealand, France, Mexico and Japan. in upholding international law. Our votes should be in line with our foreign policy, which makes clear the occupation and settlements are illegal.

This is typical of how Edward Rogers operates. He and Rogers CEO Tony Staffieri will do in-house interview with their own Ron MacLean at 3 pm today. Get used to this: Rogers being interviewed by Rogers about Rogers. The new reality for Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment

From what we know what Israel installed was a small board made of plastic explosive non detectable by metal scanning or X-ray. Not sure what follows for commercial aviation.

"... Rogers CEO Tony... said that the company would continue to share rights to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors 'over the next couple of years. And then after that, they’ll have the opportunity to continue to buy those rights at market rates.'"🤔 #competition

"One of #Italy’s top security experts... played down the reports the explosives might have been planted somewhere around their #supplychain... He said it is possible that #Israel’s intelligence agencies intercepted, or were leaked, the destruction codes for each device."🤔
