At Scout Adventures #scarefest this weekend the GB2GP Gilwell Park team are using the new uk licence regs to allow young people to control the #hamradio station rather than just pass messages. Under supervision of course. Thankyou to everyone who has called and has been so kind to the ops.

The 2m Marconi contest is usually a slog from the uk as we are too far from Central European centre of activity. This year we got a duct! Al worked with barefoot transverter and 9 elements.

It was the Marconi 2m contest this weekend in Region 1. For once we had an tropo opening and I made lots of cw contacts from London with just 25W - best was over 1500km

I want to finish ARRL WAS on 12m whilst we have solar max, but I am struggling to find Alaska. Any tips? PSK-R suggests I'm not even hearing one even though I leave my yagi pointing that way. I've had false hope from a KL7 in Texas.....

The FlexRadio Systems radios were put to good use GB2GP Gilwell Park Scout #JOTA this weekend. Being able to run outreach activities in a large room and remote to our stations over the LAN was perfect
