Mr Black's S1 class were treated to a Russian taster this week to celebrate Languages Week Scotland . Pupils did a great job at spelling their names in the Cyrillic alphabet using Play-Doh.

Had a lovely time last night at Institut français d'Ecosse, reading poetry in Scots, English and French. Fellow Scottish-continentals, Elodie Laügt and Anne Pia, are brilliant writers and it was a privilege sharing this with them. Great turnout and fine organising by Prof Lorna Milne 🇫🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We're proud to introduce a new initiative to spur uptake of Latin and Classical Studies in Scottish state schools. SATCS is an unprecendented collaboration between state & independent sectors, offering virtual access to N5, Higher & Adv Higher courses at Glasgow Acad.

The scheme is designed to allow access to courses that would be impossible in the pupils' home school, with colleagues at Edinburgh Uni providing access to a shared Teams platform. Classes and materials from TGA will be uploaded, with live weekly sessions on top.

The scheme is backed by CAS, with further scope for assistance from Classics for All, is designed to function with no overhead considerations for the pupil or their home school. We hope that you will share this among your friends and colleagues who might have interested pupils!
