Deeply grateful that the #ksleg continued to move forward with desperately needed legislation to help our farmers and rural communities facing drought. We cannot stand idle and we must act now.

What the KSGOP has done here is not about fair elections and voter security. This is atemper tantrum because Laura Kelly beat them, again, and they will do anything to restrict the right to vote of Kansans who don't vote the way KSGOP wants. Their own SoS disagrees with them.

Kansas House votes overwhelmingly (116-6) to pass bill 2279, which requires groundwater management districts to do more to preserve the Ogallala Aquifer. It says GMDs need to identify spots with the worst depletion and submit water conservation action plans to the state. #ksleg

To our LGBTQ friends, family, neighbors and Kansas Community: this is wrong, we see you, we stand with you, we will not stop fighting these attacks on your existence.

So we can just stop pretending this had anything to do with helping low income families and is clearly now about subsidizing students already in Private School or an income bracket that could afford it. And they are taking money out of Public Education classrooms to do it.

We cannot keep failing communities by meeting their basic need for access to health care. KS failing to expand Medicaid is a drag on our economy and draining the pockets of the Kansans who can least afford our failure.
