Yesterday Blue Watch Lymm joined Blue Watch Warrington for joint training launching & recovering the Rescue Boat on the River Mersey. Completing training like this allows Crews to familiarise themselves with launch sites & launch / recovery procedures #CheshireFire #WaterSafety

Last week animal rescue instructors CM Gray and WM Roxburgh attended a 1 day CPD course at The Horse Trust in Buckinghamshire with our training provider BARTA covering lifting techniques. #AnimalRescue

In line with #BeWaterAware Green watch recently completed water rescue training at Lymm Damm and engaged with the public regarding water safety to raise awareness about the risk of accidental drowning and provide safety advice ahead of the warmer months when incidents increase.

This morning Green watch have been out on the drill yard practicing using firefighting foam. We mainly use foam on petrochemical and vehicle fires.

Do you know what to do in the event of a fire?
- Get out, stay out and call 999.
- Never go back into the building.
- Find somewhere safe to wait.
- If there is someone still inside, wait for the fire and rescue service to arrive.
