Inspiring visit to community run #UistMill as part of @agritourismMF learning journey, who raised £1M in grants to create the infrastructure to convert homegrown fleeces to premium yarns on the #OuterHebrides. Such a determined team. #scottishagritourism

As the season changes from Summer to Autumn, our Cashmere goats enjoy browsing the last of Bay Willow Herb and other invasive forage before it dies off. #autumn #scottishcashmere #cashmeregoats

Imagine feeling the softest, cosiest Cashmere. Then triple that experience & you might get close to how it feels to stroke our Cashmere kids. As the seasons changes, our goats start the miraculous, natural process of growing their winter Cashmere undercoats.

Bringing in our goats to clean up these recently harvested wheat fields. Every autumn after harvest, our goats are put to work weeding these stubble fields before sowing. This natural weed control helps reduce our chemical inputs. The goats love the new diverse forage too.

Targeted browsing of invasive weeds by our goats today. They ignore lush grasses and clover preferentially eliminating thistles. Look how they enjoy devouring them! Low input pasture improvement in action. Ideal for complementary grazing with cattle.

Early morning goat therapy. The sound of our Cashmere goats nibbling brambles The calls of pink footed geese overhead. The scent of apple mint and sea air. Autumn is most definitely here.
