Today's highlight by Luke. A monochrome palette is extremely useful for rendering basically anything, and this piece uses it really well. The dithers and brickwork looks like NES games, and the symmetrical composition gives it a dignified look.

Luke i can't see some of the comments under that tweet(cuz they blocked me :v), but that fortunelly means that the majority of the people aren't like that, hope the team doesn't get on a bad mood because of that :/

Luke Pixel Dailies Hah good one
Maybe ill animate the sprites a bit, it was made for a jam so I kept it just 1 frame but a little motion could help a lot. I'll add it to my todo list 😉

Luke I always enjoyed working with 2 color and 4 color palettes, so I completely agree with you. 🙂

Using smaller palettes for me is very relaxing and refreshing, since at least I don't have to worry about color choices, I just draw.

Luke Thanks, process was interesting as well. 🙂

I was thinking if I should continue the series, but I've decided that 6 is enough for now, and maybe I should do a set with white backgrounds and dark forms to complement these.

Luke All assets here i created for Songs of Conquest - the composition itself then not too long.
Generally all assets i did for them were extremely high quality and took a lot of time.

Luke Vincio (Commissions Open) Would love to see how you would work those scaly textures! Nothing like a challenge to get the juices flowing. Great job on the glare and head part!
